We recently completed this beautiful Rempp kitchen renovation in Newton Mearns Glasgow, blending sleek German design with warm, welcoming touches to suit open-plan family living.
At the heart of the space is a striking oak island, fitted with Dekton Laurent worktops featuring a stepped detail and mitred edges — a small detail that makes a big impact. On the sides of the island, we integrated BORA plug sockets, keeping things practical without compromising the clean lines.
The cooking setup is serious business: a BORA 3.0 induction hob paired with a separate Tepan Yaki plate, all seamlessly integrated into the island. A black Quooker hot tap adds instant boiling water with a stylish edge, and the Gaggenau Vario cooling system keeps everything beautifully concealed behind the sleek cabinetry. We also fitted Gaggenau 200 Series ovens — combining performance and minimal design.
The tall units and sink run are finished in a soft cashmere colour, while the oak finish on the island and matching open shelf adds warmth and brings the whole scheme together. A mirror feature adds a subtle, dressed feel and helps reflect light throughout the space.
As the kitchen sits within an open-plan layout, we extended the design to include a cosy TV area, a bank of additional tall cabinets for storage, and a cleverly tucked-away coffee station — ideal for keeping morning routines smooth and stylish.
This project is a great example of how a luxury kitchen can be both functional and inviting, especially when it’s designed with the flow of real life in mind.
